Pathway program for the MS Analytics program

GT Undergraduate students can apply to be a part of a pathway program for the MS Analytics program.

Applying as a pathway student includes the following benefits:

  • Streamlined application process
  • Early conditional admissions decision to MSA
  • Waiver of the GRE/GMAT

GT undergrads can count up to 4 courses taken as an undergrad towards MSA, with the following restrictions:

  • Must finish the undergraduate degree with a 3.5 or higher GPA
  • Must finish the Master's within two years of finishing the undergraduate degree
  • Can only double-count 2 courses that they used for any part of their undergraduate degree, including as free electives
  • Can count up to 2 Fallthrough courses (taken as an undergrad, but Degreeworks shows as "Fallthrough" because they weren't used toward any part of the degree)

    • CS 4641 Machine Learning (Stats elective, A-track elective, C-track elective)
  • Industrial and Systems Engineering
    • ISYE 4045 Advanced Simulation
    • ISYE 4133 Advanced Optimization (OR elective)
    • ISYE 4134 Constraint Programming (OR elective)
    • ISYE 4232 Advanced Stochastics (OR elective)
    • ISYE 4601 Online Learning and Decision-Making (OR elective, A-track elective)
  • Most graduate-level CS, CX, ISYE, and MGT analytics-related courses
  • Other 4000-level analytics-related coursework may qualify; please verify with the MSA program
  • Note: ISYE 4031 Regression and Forecasting & ISYE 4034 Decision and Data Analysis will not count

Application Process

Please follow the steps below to apply as a GT Undergraduate BS/MS pathway student.

  1. Apply through the Graduate Studies website
    1. Select a regular Graduate Program application, and select the MS Analytics program. The MSA application is not listed under the BSMS application section
    2. Input your Recommenders, Statement of Purpose, & Resume, etc.
    3. GRE or GMAT scores are not required if you plan to apply only to Graduate Programs at Georgia Tech. However, if you are applying to other programs external to GT and have scores please report them as well .
    4. After you have entered all the necessary information, email Harry Sharp (harry.sharp@isye.gatech.edu) and Candice McLemore (Candice.mclemore@isye.gatech.edu) to confirm your application is ready to submit and to request an application fee waiver for the MSA in Atlanta program.
    5. Once you’ve received your application fee waiver, please submit your application. If applying to the online MSA program, please note application fee waivers are unavailable for the Online MSA (OMSA) application.
  2. Once you have submitted your Application, complete the MSA BSMS Interest Form.  This allows us to identify and track your application as a BSMS student.
    1. On-campus Instructions: Visit MSA BSMS Interest Form.
    2. Off-campus use the Clientless Browser vpn by following these instructions.
      1. Log into the Georgia Tech VPN at https://vpn.gatech.edu
      2. In the gold header of the VPN homepage, paste the following URL into the "Enter URL" dropdown:
        https://webforms.isye.gatech.edu/undergraduate-forms/msa-bsms-interest-form
      3. You will be prompted to log in to the website then directed to the form.
